Inner tube is the part of core sampling house. One end connects with head assembly and another end connects with core lifter case.The inner tube is used together core barrel. When the inner-tube is full of core sample, the drill string lifted off the bottom of the hole, the driller could get the column core sample out of the inner tube and put it in the core tray.
Standard Inner tubes are made of high-quality alloy steel with good strength, toughness and wear life.
Split tubes are also available.Split tube is designed to be used in broken ground where core
recovery is difficult. The split tube liner sits inside the standard inner-tube and keeps the sample intact.
